Jakob Dylan - Seeing Things Released: May 6, 2008 First Impressions: Laid back vibe. The music seems somewhat formulaic and mechanical, but is still enjoyable.

Beastie Boys - The Mix-Up Released: June 26, 2007 First Impression: Sounds like a big jam with no direction. I don't mind the fact that it's an instrumental album, but after all this time it would have been nice to hear more thematically arranged pieces.

Weezer - Blue Album Released: May 10, 1994 First Impressions: It goes without saying that this album is a classic. What's not to like? Heavy guitars, poppy melodies, and contagious hooks.

Weezer - Pinkerton Released: September 24, 1996 First Impressions: I'm not quite sure what to think of this one yet. I heard a lot of good things about it and it was on sale so I decided to buy it. It's definitely Weezer, but with more of a New Wave-ish sound.
