Guitar Lesson - Experiment: Practicing 5 Days a Week – Day 3
Yesterday I was feeling especially sleep-deprived, but in the grand scheme of things I don't think it affected my practice schedule that much. I started my day as I usually do, had roughly 3 hours of practice before lunch, this time working on different projects than yesterday. I also took advantage of the 2 hours after lunch (usually lost time), though I didn't use this time quite as effectively as yesterday. Overall I'm fairly pleased with the results, though I'm sure I probably could have squeezed in another hour or two of practice if I was really determined. Sometimes it's more important to keep up with your sleep schedule. Tomorrow will be my first day off for this week, so my focus needs to shift from using my practice time efficiently to letting my muscles rest and recuperate. I have a feeling I'm not going to make it through the day without some playing, but I'm going to avoid doing drills and exercises altogether.
