Guitar Lesson - Experiment: Practicing 5 Days a Week – Day 10
Day 5 It was a fairly busy day, and aside from a bit of jamming with a friend, I didn't practice. Day 6 Just as expected, I had a very productive practice day. I had an extended period of unscheduled time and I was able to put it towards some focused practice. Early on I worked on my arpeggios and alternate picking, and later on I worked on a handful of my songs. Day 7 I was running around so much on Sunday that I didn't have a whole lot of time for practice. I got together with my friend before our show and jammed for awhile, but that's when I felt something coming on. We still played the show, despite the bad weather, and it actually went really well. Performance is the best practice, right? Day 8 Sure enough I was feeling sick so I didn't practice. I still went in to work, but that wasn't the best idea. Day 9 My cold was still bothering me so I took another day off. I didn't go in to work, and I didn't practice. Today I'm finally feeling well enough to try to get back on schedule, despite having a nasty cough. I don't think it will be anywhere near as productive as an average day, but for now I'm just going to ease my way back in.
